When he's not working at the shop you can usually find the boss on the Amateur Radio bands as KB9CYL. He's an avid contester, DXer and one of the net controls on the Nite Patrol, a two-meter net on the Argonne National Lab repeater near Chicago. The net meets every night at 10:30 local time time on 145.19 -600. Check in if you're ever passing through. He's also a past president of Hamfesters Radio Club and is currently Field Day Chairman.
